Katy Perry Promotes Her New Shoe Collection in Cult Gaia

This almost seems like a pointless question to ask, but Katy Perry, what is THIS, honey?

We’re not referring to the fact that she apparently had a shoe line launch on a loading dock somewhere. We’re not even referring to the mushroom-heeled shoes, since they’re about as on-brand and expected as any fungus-inspired fashion could be, given the wearer. And while you might be correct in thinking that we loathe the side cutouts here, even those are not what’s causing our confusion and consternation. It’s that she’s wearing what looks like an extremely heavy knit dress in August. And also that has some of the worst design elements and proportions we’ve seen in a single garment in quite some time. It is, to be blunt about it, a hideous dress.
