The cast of the Black Panther sequel Black Panther: Wakanda Forever came together at Comic Con to promote the film by releasing the best film trailer of 2022:

And probably the best trailer Marvel ever put out. Simply breathtaking. Angela Bassett can still make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up, purely through the power of her own voice. We probably shouldn’t have led off with the trailer, since everything after it is going to pale in comparison, but let’s talk fashion anyway.

Dominique will be playing Riri Williams, the girl genius who eventually redevelops Tony Stark’s armor designs to become Ironheart. We don’t think we’ve ever seen such a literal take on a paper bag dress. Somehow, we don’t hate it. We wish the color were richer, but the shape really works and we love the way she has it styled.

A dress almost too gorgeous for Comic Con, although its seaming and various textures actually does come off a lot like a Marvel hero’s costume. The color looks fabulous on her and we love her hair.

As far as shapeless dresses go, we think we like Dominique’s more. Letitia’s is cute enough, but kind of basic. And we don’t like the booties at all.

We don’t know if we’d have rec’d a pair of yellow pumps with this, but that is one killer jumpsuit and she looks gorgeously kickass in it.

This is so fabulous. It suits her terrifically and it almost comes off like a superhero costume already. We’d say fighting bad guys in a strapless top makes it impractical, but Wonder Woman’s been doing it for 80 years. Anyway, love how kickass this is and how great her hair looks.

This is a really fun, sparkly look, but we think his shirt is accidentally (as opposed to deliberately) undone, which is kind of a shame.
