One thing we love about Bridgerton star Nicola Coughlan: she loves a big girly dress and she doesn’t care how much space it takes up

It’s silly on a drag level, which isn’t surprising, given how big a Drag Race fan she is. We don’t think this achieves the heights of her similarly girly and voluminous Met Gala gown (not that we’d expect it to), but it’s playing in the same style sandbox, so to speak. The bows are ridiculous, almost to the point that it makes us reconsider our longstanding dislike of big bows on grown women, but only for a second. If they work at all here it’s because the design really leans into them. This gown isn’t to our tastes, but we appreciate how much she loves this style. We think the hairstyle isn’t quite up to the exuberance of the look.
