Jessica Chastain in Gucci at the Vanity Fair Oscar Party: IN or OUT?

Before we wrap up all our coverage of the main event Oscars, let’s put one of the more eye-popping Vanity Fair Party looks up for a vote. The Eyes of Tammy Faye star Jessica Chastain clearly did NOT take the rest of the night off after winning the Best Actress Oscar. If anything, she clearly ramped things up. And by “things,” we mean her boobs. Just kidding. By “things,” we mean her style, of course.

Wow.

As much as we enjoyed the tacky, drag queen exuberance of her main event gown, it’s crazy to us that she chose NOT to wear this for her Oscar win. It’s a pure stunner of a dress and the color looks amazing on her. We have some quibbles, though. First, the “exposed undergarments/my dress has come undone” design has never been one of our faves. Second, we think the necklace might be too much. It’s too heavy and a dress like this just doesn’t need jewels that would make Elizabeth Taylor gag. But these are minor issues that don’t detract too much from the overall effect. Still, we suspect a gown like this might not be to everyone’s tastes, since Gucci gets trashed on the reg around here. So let’s hear it, kittens:
