Jessica Chastain wore a drag queen dress to pick up her Oscar and we kind of love her for it.
It somehow manages to be both fabulous and tacky at the same time; both elegant and eye-searing as well. We don’t particularly love the ombre effect or the color story here. We suppose it would have looked less interesting if it had all been rendered in that lavender, but we aren’t feeling the orange. We also don’t love the little ruffles at the shoulders and we think the straps are a little too widely placed. Still, we just love that when someone updates one of those Best Actress dress infographics, this big, loud, totally not “prestige actress” gown will take its place in Oscar history.
