When red carpets returned in the summer of 2021, celebrities tended to go a lot wilder than a lot of folks expected, in something of a post-lockdown celebration of fashion and self expression (you can read our annual overview here). But with the momentary (we hope) return of the Instagram serve at a time when celebrities need to appear cautious, we’re seeing something of a resurgence of cool, casual style. This is good news for Kristen Stewart, who is the current reigning queen of Cool Girl style.
