We’ve always been big supporters of Kristen Stewart’s habit of combining high fashion with queer girl style tropes. It doesn’t always work, but we appreciate it. At the Kodak Film Awards, the director of The Chronology of Water received the Debut Feature Award and she marked the occasion in typical K Stew style: a sexy dress and a Dickies cap:

In truth, these two items don’t actually go together all that well, but that is pretty much the point here. She likes to top off the high-fashion looks her job requires with something a little butch or queer, just to remind everyone who she really is. That dress actually look great on her, and since it doesn’t really call for a lot of sparkly or girly accessorizing, that little touch of butch doesn’t feel as incongruous as it otherwise might. She looks hot, is what we’re saying here.
