We raved about Caitriona’s performance in Belfast in our podcast on Friday. We’re only pointing out our support of her so that so the Caitriona fans don’t come at us for saying the following.
Oof. Okay, girl.
Look, far be it for us to tell an Irish actress at the British Independent Film Awards that she can’t wear McQueen while she’s riding that awards buzz high. If anything, it’s an entirely appropriate choice for her. And we’ll say that we respect her desire to go for edgy and weird instead of the normal prestige actress route. We like the skirt a lot. We do not like the jacket at all and we think the hair/makeup situation is not the best for her. But she’s got her fans and like we said, there is something admirable about not doing the expected thing, so we’re turning this over to you, knowing how much some of y’all are gonna hate it and how much others are likely to defend it. We’re stinkers that way. Now let’s hear it:
