This is a very cute and on-point reference to make for a night celebrating the lexicon of American fashion. We might have wrinkled our noses a bit at the thought that this is more costume than fashion in a lot of ways, but it’s a direct homage to Geoffrey’s Beene’s iconic football gown and athletic and team wear are enormous factors in the American fashion industry with a worldwide aesthetic influence. But of course, what makes it witty and noteworthy is that she’s wearing a couture version of her husband Russell Wilson’s Seattle Seahawks jersey and Super Bowl ring.
On theme, on point, and supporting her man at the same time. She nailed this one. Love the clutch.
