We’re in a bit of a post-Cannes, pre-everything else (don’t take our September Met Gala from us, Delta!) celebrity style slump, which means we’re not too proud or snooty to feature a star serving up some Family Feud realness. It helps that the star is Yara Shahidi and that she never fails to deliver a lewk.
And by that we mean she never fails to give a couple of bitchy bloggers something to talk about. We can absolutely understand the impulse that led to wearing a t-shirt under a strapless top, and we’re willing to admit that it comes pretty damn close to working thanks to some extremely well-coordinated color-based styling (the tee and the shoes match the bustier perfectly), but in the end, it’s a ribbed top trying to work under a plaid bustier with a peplum. An ambitious attempt, but ultimately, the outfit would look better without it. Love everything from the waist down.
