Emily Blunt has been out here on these virtual streets putting on every outfit she can snag to promote Disney’s Jungle Cruise and we think we’re detecting a deliberate, perhaps Disney-fueled approach that can only be summed up as: just a little bit too much.” Fortunately for her, it tends to suit her. She’s one of those stars who can get away with really haute chic looks, but also has a facility for cartoony, pop-star sorts of looks. Perhaps smartly, she seems to be sticking with the latter for this tour. This isn’t her first time as a Disney headliner, after all. She knows what to do to sell this kind of film. She doesn’t necessarily dress in such eye-popping looks when she’s promoting something like a romantic comedy or a horror-action film, you’ll notice. No, the bold colors, extreme elements, and wild prints of this tour all appear to be chosen to give that high-energy, low-realism Disney feel.

The point is to serve a LOT all at once but still play in a sort of hyper-feminine area of fashion; a kind of 21st century Mary Poppins take, if you will. Taken that way (and not looking at it like real-world fashion), we love this look.

There’s also a bold and bright cartoony style to some of her choices. We can’t say we love this print (we have a thing about black-backed florals), but it’s photogenic and hard to ignore, which is half the battle here.

And sometimes she manages to combine the two, giving a sort of cartoon Poppins serve, which may be our favorite take of all. The traditional puffy sleeves and overall schoolmarm vibe is reduced to two colors and simple shapes. Our only quibble here is that we don’t love the orange-and-brown combination for her. Also, the shoes look painful and they don’t really go.
