Zendaya never misses. Sometimes it’s just easier and makes more sense for your opening statement to be declarative in a really obvious way. It’s not exactly revelatory to say “Zendaya never misses” under a picture of Zendaya looking ridiculously fab, but sometimes the most obvious observation is the best one.
Implied by said obvious statement is the inclusion of her stylist Law Roach, who’s arguably the best in the game at the moment and whose collaboration with Zendaya may be the gold standard of celebrity/stylist relationships because the results are so inarguable.
It never occurred to us to think about what the trends would be for this year’s Oscars fashion, largely because it’s been such a weird year for celebrity style (among other things), but cutouts were a big one. It’s pretty rare for us to love a cutout in a formal gown, but this whole look was said to take inspiration from classic Cher, which is hard for us to argue against. We think the beachy waves of her hair and the addition of that stunning necklace take it just enough away from being cosplay. The color looks amazing on her and since the whole look was practically designed for a wind machine effect, she knew exactly how to turn and pose at just the right time to present it all to its fullest effect.
