It’s a nice jacket, but it’s too small on him.
Brittany Snow in Reem Acra
We’ve seen a lot of this bathroomy blue on the red carpet lately but this is one of the few times where it appeals to us. We think it’s a very coloring-specific shade in terms of pulling it off. It suits her. If she got rid of that bow, we might even like the dress.
Christopher Abbott
Unlike satin, we tend to think the wrinkles in linen outfits are something you just have to buy into. This looks good, but a lighter shirt would’ve been our rec.
Cory Michael Smith
It’s giving American Psycho.
Dallas Liu
Hate the tie, love the suit, would accept the footwear with different socks.
Erika Alexander
She looks fantastic and she knows it.
Kate Mara (in House of Gilles) and Jamie Bell (in Saint Laurent)
It’s a bit of a sexy bride look, but the shoes help mitigate that a little. It’s cute, although we think the capelet is a bridge too far. We’ll never love that tucked tie, but we have to admit, he looks pretty good. We just wish he’d worn a belt.
Laurie Metcalf
We could almost get behind this for being so odd and unexpected a choice for her, but the fact remains that the color looks terrible on her. Also, those sleeves are dumb.
Linda Cardellini in Rami Al Ali
Seen this dress a million times and it’s too small on her. Also, the shoes clash.
Malin Akerman in Solace London
It’s fine. A little plain, but nothing that some statement pieces couldn’t fix. Get yourself a pendant, girl.
Mark Ronson (in Tom Ford) and Grace Gummer (in Issey Miyake)
He has an effortless chicness to him and he wears suits well. She looks like an angry scribble and that’s just fabulous. We love that the Streep daughters are so much more adventurous than their mother when it comes to fashion.
Moses Ingram in Telfar
This is very cute. Love the proportions and that fun tie.
Owen Thiele in Valentino
We can tell it’s a nice piece, but that jacket is way too Nana for our tastes.
Rachel Sennott in Balenciaga
We’re not sure we’ve ever seen her so toned down on a red carpet. It’s a pretty great dress, but it’s clearly too tight in the bust, as most of her dresses tend to be.
Richard Gadd in Paul Smith
He looks pretty great but we’ve got to get him out of that bowl cut.
Sydney Chandler
Kind of chic, but not very glamorous or youthful.
Sydney Lemmon in Magda Butrym
Here’s an example of that shade of blue just not vibing with the wearer’s coloring. It looks harsh. The design is actually interesting but we think it would pop more, and look less flimsy, if it were rendered in a bolder color.
Taylor Ortega
It’s a classic 1930s screen siren gown and we are duty-bound to love it, even though we don’t like the shape of the bodice or the color.
