Miss Sarah, it occurs to us now that your continued presence on our front page is yet another thing this cursed era has stolen from us. We were pretty clear that we didn’t enjoy Ratched at all, but we sure do wish we’d been treated to a full Paulson-level promotional tour. If there’s one thing you can count on from Sarah Paulson (aside from buzzy, quirky, weird performances), it’s big, discussable fashion. She doesn’t do demure and she’s the opposite of a wallflower when it comes to her fashion.

Which may be why the Prada folks asked her to wear this.

It’s stark and big and weird. We can’t say we love the whole look, but we can see how the parts without random holes can be styled with other pieces. In other words, the black sweater is nice and the skirt’s particularly versatile. The shoes are goofy as hell. The turtleneck? We pretend not to see it.

For the record, her response to the Prada-posed query of “Can your emotions be engineered?” was “Not if you’re interested in authenticity,” which … okay, then.
