Brace yourselves, kittens. After taking in Miss Miley in all her mulleted, glitter eye-shadow’d, wearing-1/3-of-a-dress glory, we’re about to pay Miss Thing a compliment. No, really.
It’s this: She has a knack for working some seriously honky-tonk-looking style choices in a way that doesn’t make them look trashy or tacky. To be fair, we’re not suggesting that she’s the picture of elegance and classic chicness in the above pictures, but considering how much we’re inclined to hate things like mullet-shags, glittery blue eyeshadow (worn by someone other than a drag queen), and dresses with more cutouts than yards of fabric, we’re shocked to admit that we think she looks pretty great here. It’s a little Debbie Harry, a little Joan Jett, and a little Donna Summer all wrapped up in one look. It shouldn’t work, but … it kinda does.
