Mrs. Cathy is wearing a dress, appearing in public, and showing the royal legs again, darlings! Oh, everything is NORMAL AGAIN! Doesn’t it feel good? To pretend a little? Anyway, when the good duchess was awash in royal Zoom duties, we liked to play a little game called “Guess What Shoes Cathy Would Pair With This Outfit If She Were Actually Going Outside.” It’s a wordy name for a game, we admit. But at least we didn’t have to explain the rules too often. Anyway, whenever we played the game, there really was only one correct answer and now that Duchess Cathy is pounding the pavement again, she was kind enough to settle the matter once and for all. Go ahead. Guess what shoes she’s wearing here.

Yes! The future Queen just loves herself a pair of beige espadrilles in the warmer months. Personally, they’re not our fave kind of shoe and we don’t think they really go with this dress at all, but some folks think they’re a neutral shoe option that goes with anything. But we suppose they allow her to do things like crouch on the pavement with dirt in her hands for picture-taking. Granted, a cute pair of white kicks would’ve done the job just as well here. The dress is cute and colorful; perfect for the occasion. Her DIY hair and makeup are kind of charming. If she’d come out looking flawlessly put together, it wouldn’t have sent a very good message. She was smart to keep things relatable.
