Hmm. As they say, darlings: choices were made.
Look, they’re clearly doing alright in their lives and careers, and it’s not like these are awful choices for a film premiere, but they do feel a bit underwhelming somehow. His suit is a nice color but everything else about his look is forgettable. Her dress isn’t bad, although we’re not inclined to love a literal combination of leather and lace in one garment – especially when it’s all rendered in lipstick red. His look is underwhelming and hers comes in a little too hot. And the styling on her – from tight hair to sandals – doesn’t quite go with the sexy-hard vibe of the dress. She’s got a pretty wide range when it comes to matters of style, but that really isn’t her dress. Send it off to Nicki Minaj, who’ll know what to do with it.

“Our book Legendary Children: The First Decade of RuPaul’s Drag Race and the Last Century of Queer Life is on sale now!
The Los Angeles Times called it “a nuanced exploration of the gender-bending figures, insider lingo and significant milestones in queer history to which the show owes its existence.”
The Washington Post said it “arrives at just the right time … because the world needs authenticity in its stories. Fitzgerald and Marquez deliver that, giving readers an insight into the important but overlooked people who made our current moment possible.”
Paper Magazine said to “think of it as the queer education you didn’t get in public school” and The Associated Press said it was “delightful and important” and “a history well told, one that is approachable and enjoyable for all.”
