And now, America’s most mismatched couple, forever engaged in a tug of war between tryhard and nevertry.
We go back and forth on Gwen’s style. On the one hand, she’s admirably consistent and is really good at working variations on a theme. On the other hand, she’s really starting to seem locked into a single look. This is all pretty great for a Grammys weekend event. We can’t fault any of it, really. If she loves it, she loves it – and she pulls it off really well. It just looks sort of stale to us. Granted, it’s not like he’s putting any effort in.
