Miss Tay has a new documentary out, a new political voice to express, and an all-around image campaign that can be summed up cheekily as “Girl, You’re a Woman Now.” She’s experienced, she’s seen some stuff, and she’s got things to say. We have to say, as two people who did more than their share of ragging on her over the years, this was always the Tay we wanted to see.
And as “I’m not just some Pop Princess” statement looks go, this one is hard to deny. Not quite business-like, but tipping its hat in that direction, it’s bold and really photogenic on her. Here’s our one issue: Go ahead and render the whole thing in a plaid, to give it that modern feel, but this textile is really heavy and it’s hard to look at it and not wonder how hot or itchy she must be wearing it. The pros outweigh the cons slightly for us because we don’t think practicality is the highest item on the list for celebrity promo wear. If it itches but it sells a certain image like gangbusters, an hour or two of wearing it might be worth it to her. Anyway, yes. We’re all IN on this one, but we’d bet a few of you are vehemently in disagreement. Let’s have a fight:
