Miss Elle is here to offer you a little surprise.
In more ways than one. Yes, the heavy embroidery on the lower half of the dress and sleeves was a bit of a scrolldown surprise, but it’s also a bit odd to see her in this sort of style. Certainly, romantic embroidered floral motifs aren’t unheard of in her red carpetry, but the simple, almost caftan-like style of the dress, the way it feels like some sort of formal pool or beach coverup, feels new for her. The kind of beachy hair tends to support this feel, but to be nitpicky about it (which, we don’t know if you’ve noticed or not, we’re prone to being now and then), we’re not a hundred percent in love with the shape; specifically the sleeves and hem length. But the embroidery is absolutely stunning; richly colored and impeccably executed. It’s pretty to look at. That, combined with the unexpectedness of the choice, makes this appealing to us, even if the basic shape and style (not to mention hair choice) don’t feel quite right for her.
