PinFish Restaurant at W Hotel – Maldives

We’ve made it once again, darlings. Another FRIDAY. Huzzah and hooray. We have a ton of distractions for you to sail through the weekend, blissfully unaware of anything important happening in the world. We’re setting a new T Lo record by dropping TWO podcasts, with two separate film discussions in one day; plus the long-awaited (by someone, somewhere, we’re sure) return of Lorenzo’s Picks! Settle in!

Netflix Source Says They’ve “Sealed the Deal” on a Return for ‘The Crown’ — But It’s Not What Fans Might Expect
An insider shared that negotiations have been playing out “for quite a long time.”

The final season of The Crown aired in 2023, with the sixth installment of Netflix’s royal drama focusing on the late ‘90s and early 2000s, including the death of Princess Diana. Although there’s been rumors swirling that the show might come back to tackle Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor’s scandals, the Daily Mail’s Richard Eden has reported that The Crown will take a new spin on royal history instead.

‘The Devil Wears Prada 2’ Is Here, And It’s A Masterclass In The Dark Side Of Female Ambition
How Meryl Streep’s character embodies a new chapter for the girl boss.

We’ve often found ourselves wondering: wherever did the girl boss go? What does it even mean to be a girl boss in 2026? Like with many contentious questions, the answer depends on who you ask. Some will say it’s about thriving at the top in a sexist structure, subverting expectations and taking up space in a man’s world, one #smashthepatriarchy notebook at a time. Others will denigrate the term, calling it insulting, a betrayal of feminist values; a relic of another, less progressive era in which submission had been clumsily repackaged as empowerment.
With these dichotomies in place, there’s arguably no better time to look for enlightenment from one of pop culture’s most famous girl bosses of all time: Miranda Priestly (played by Meryl Streep), the tyrannical editor-in-chief of Runway, who is back on our screens this week in The Devil Wears Prada 2.

If You Love Denim, These 5 Trends Are Set To Dominate This Summer
From nostalgic cuts to pastel hues

Though the warmer months may call for breezy silhouettes such as spring dresses and linen trousers, one thing’s for sure: denim remains the cornerstone of any well-curated wardrobe. For those not keen to part ways with this staple even as temperatures rise, I’m pleased to confirm that this summer there are a whole host of new colour ways, lighter fabrics and prints to try out.
This season designers have us feeling nostalgic about denim. Familiar silhouettes, like low-cut flares, make a return with a modern and more wearable approach, while classic blues give way to pastel shades and prints (something we haven’t see for some time).

All of Zendaya’s Met Gala Looks Through the Years
Revisit all the looks the star has worn to fashion’s biggest night.

Peanut butter and jelly. Bacon and eggs. Cookies and milk. Zendaya and the Met Gala. Some things are just meant to be together.
Zendaya has attended the Met Gala seven times in total, and she is without a doubt one of the most anticipated invitees to the event. After not being in attendance for a few years, she finally made her grand return as one of the co-chairs for the Met Gala 2024—and she gave us looks for days. She attended again in 2025. For the theme, “Superfine: Tailoring Black Style,” and dress code, “Tailored for You,” she wore a sleek monochrome suit.

I Swapped the Gym for Fast, Feel-Good Outdoor Workouts—and It Transformed How I Felt in 30 Days
Fallen into an exercise rut? Most of these are free.

I don’t know about you, but every spring I get this sudden urge to trade my gym membership for the great outdoors. I’m a self-confessed fair-weather exerciser, so after being cooped up inside all winter, the lighter mornings and budding flowers feel like precious opportunities I don’t want to miss.
This year, though, that pull feels stronger than ever – and, apparently, not just for me. A survey of over 9000 people by outdoor events provider, Massive, found that 89% of us plan to take part in the same, or more, outdoor events this year. At the same time, the Global Wellness Institute has reported a cultural backlash against overly optimised, tightly-tracked movement. And with the British Heart Foundation finding that joy is the number one fitness goal for a quarter of us this summer, it seems that what we’re craving is an injection of freedom and fun into our exercise routines.

Emily Blunt talks ‘chucking the kitchen sink’ at her comedy in The Devil Wears Prada 2
The star talks the sequel’s depiction of both body image and the decline of the magazine industry.

“I’m over-related to Stanley Tucci now, I see him way too much.”
Emily Blunt’s deadpan humour is as note perfect in real life as it is in the much-anticipated and papped movie sequel, The Devil Wears Prada 2. 20 years after the original film – which sees a plucky intern thrown into the glossy world of magazines, glamour and one iconic, terrifying editor – its stars have reunited for a nostalgic revisit to the world of Runway.

Fashion Experts Always Default to Oversized Sunglasses, So Now They’re Buying Up Buy-Eye Frames
They might just be the coolest thing you wear this season

It’s 2008. Karl Lagerfeld is still “The Kaiser”. The Olsen twins are sitting front row at Chanel. And bug-eyed sunglasses are very much on the menu. In fact, Mary-Kate and Ashley, in a rare moment of accessories “twinning”, are both wearing frames so enormous, so curvaceous, there’s no word for them except “bug-eyed”.
They might take inspiration from sunglasses in the ’70s—Jackie Onassis’ were particularly oversized, curving around her cheekbones and temples—but they famously had a renaissance in the early ’00s with a more symmetrical, spherical shape. Nicole Richie’s boho-luxe makeover—by the queen of bug-eyed sunglasses Rachel Zoe—is still legendary: a pair of retro, pleasingly rounded frames was the finishing touch to most outfits.

The Short French Fringe Might Just Be the Smarter Answer to the Micro Bang Trend
2026’s most in-demand fringe

The micro fringe has been quietly making its way into the mainstream for the past 12 months or so, but hairstylists are calling 2026 the year of the short French fringe. Thanks, in short (no pun intended), to several red carpet appearances and sightings on the runway, this striking look is set to be big this year.
It started at last year’s Oscars, which saw not one, not two, but three shorter cropped fringes in attendance. Miley Cyrus, Katy Perry and model Anok Yai all chose to sport baby bangs, but each one interpreted it slightly differently to reflect their individual looks. Pamela Anderson’s makeup-free face might have been the talk of the Met Gala red carpet, but her baby bangs were just as iconic. Short fringes featured heavily at the spring/summer 2026 shows—feathered at Balmain, wispy at Louis Vuitton, super straight at Acne and neatly cropped at Dries Van Noten.

We need to chill out about celebrity cheating scandals
Put down the Etsy curse, babe.

As someone who has been cheated on several times by previous partners, I’m going to say something I never expected to say: we need to chill out about cheating.
Not about cheating in our own love lives — absolutely not. Take that seriously. If you and a partner have agreed upon boundaries in your relationship, whether that’s complete monogamy or a set of rules for polyamory, those should be respected. Infidelity isn’t acceptable.
But we do need to chill out about celebrities cheating, or more precisely, about our favourite celebrities being cheated on. Because it’s getting wildly out of hand. For some reason, we treat it like a personal affront.

Why the Devil Wears Prada Sequel Moved at a Glacial Pace
Screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna dishes on being “scared to death” of Meryl Streep, booking Lady Gaga, and capturing the state of magazine journalism today in the long-awaited sequel.

When The Devil Wears Prada came out 20 years ago, it had a sweet, intimate premiere at the 2006 LA Film Festival, followed by a couple international promotional stops, and a party in New York. “The first movie was really the little movie that could,” screenwriter Aline Brosh McKenna tells Vanity Fair. “It kind of came out of nowhere and the expectations were quite low.”
The film about an aspiring journalist, starring Anne Hathaway and Meryl Streep, swept up into the world of a glamorous fashion magazine went on to be a massive hit, was nominated for two Oscars, and became a beloved classic. Fans have been waiting for two decades for the return of Miranda Priestly and company.

Queen Elizabeth Received “An Aladdin’s Cave” of Jewelry During Middle East Visit But Was “Not Sure What Happened to It,” Per Royal Author
The late Queen received “millions of pounds” of gifts during her 1979 Gulf states tour.

The Royal Collection is full of dazzling jewels that haven’t seen the light of day in decades, and among those include some of the gifts that Queen Elizabeth received during her 1979 Gulf states tour. The 18-day trip included stops in the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Bahrain, Saudi Arabia, Oman and Qatar, and during the historic tour, she was showered with priceless gemstones. However, the late Queen once told royal biographer Gyles Brandreth that she actually didn’t know what happened to some of the jewels.
In his bestselling book Elizabeth: An Intimate Portrait, Brandreth—who knew the late Queen for decades—shares plenty of personal stories about the monarch, including one conversation they had about visiting the Middle East.

6 Best Lip Liners for Mature Lips, According to Pro Makeup Artists
The one you’re using probably isn’t cutting it anymore.

The best lip liners for mature lips solve a problem that goes beyond smudging. As the years tick by, the lips become a bit of a rebel. Definition softens, dry lips are a constant, volume diminishes, and suddenly your favorite Pillow Talk Lip Liner is migrating and smudging into fine lines. For mature lips, the strategy isn’t just about spotlighting your pout—it’s about prep. Proper care and lip skin care is the foundation of any natural look says Anetta Reszko, MD, a board-certified dermatologist in NYC. Consistent lip exfoliation and a good mask for your pout make all the difference. You want a canvas that’s supple, not parched. Celebrity makeup artist Joel Vasquez champions a less-is-more approach. He recommends applying light, whisper-soft strokes instead of one aggressive, continuous line. Choose a shade that mimics your natural lip tone but sits one degree deeper, and reach for a formula buttery enough to blend smoothly into skin. To find the best options, we consulted dermatologists and celebrity makeup artists, and put more than 20 industry-leading liners to the test.

How to Style Sneakers With Dresses Without Looking Like You Gave Up
Here’s how to nail the combo with ease this summer.

Once you figure out how to style sneakers with dresses in a way that works with your own personal taste, there’s really no stopping you. Because in the ever-evolving world of fashion, where rules are continually rewritten, the combination of sneakers and dresses presents a perfect fusion of comfort and style that is truly timeless. Gone are the days when a dress required heels or sandals to look “put together.” Now it’s possible to stand out and elevate everything from flirty minis to sweeping maxis with classic Adidas or Nikes, a pair of iconic Converse, or whatever the trendy tennis shoe of the moment is.

‘The Ick’ Is Real — and Your Date’s Dining Habits Might Be to Blame
Could you continue dating someone after they ate all your fries?
My ex-boyfriend did a few things that got under my skin, but nothing irked me more than the way he took a sip of any beverage. Whether it was a hoppy beer or ice-cold water, he’d fill his mouth with the liquid and then swish it around vigorously, as if he were rinsing his gums with mouthwash.
After I caught on to this unusual habit, I asked, “Why do you do that?” He simply said, “It helps me taste it better.” I immediately got the ick.
“The ick” is a term used to describe the very specific moment when you get turned off — and maybe even feel repulsed — by a romantic partner. The idea, depicted in ’90s shows such as Ally McBeal and Sex and the City, was made popular again in 2017 when Love Island cast member Olivia Atwood detailed her breakup with her castmate, Sam Gowland. “When you’ve seen a boy and got the ick, it doesn’t go,” she explained. “It’s caught you, and it’s taken over your body. It’s just ick. I can’t shake it off.”

Andy! Miranda! Emily! Recreate the Major Looks from The Devil Wears Prada 2
After months of anticipation, The Devil Wears Prada 2 is finally in theaters. The franchise centers around the fictional fashion magazine Runway (an obvious ode to a certain infamous publication), and considering the cultural impact the styling in the first film had—with iconic fashion moments like the cerulean monologue and those unforgettable Chanel boots—we couldn’t wait to see what was in store in the wardrobe department for part two, twenty years later. Naturally, we had to take a closer look at the outfits, recreating the ensembles that are sure to define the next wave of cultural conversation.

The Wedding Buffet Is Back (Just Don’t Call It a Buffet)
It is difficult for any self-respecting gourmet to admit, but few culinary sights set the heart aflutter quite like a buffet. I still remember the ecstasy of my first trip to the Pizza Hut lunch buffet, where you could eat until you had to be rolled out of the premises. I also recall the shame, decades later, of finding myself at a hotel buffet during the pandemic, forced to ask a sanitized waiter to assemble my eccentric plate. “Yes, I would like some sausage next to my yogurt, which is next to my waffles…”

20 Years Later, the Makeup From The Devil Wears Prada Still Holds Up
Are you an Emily, Andy, or Miranda? When the infamous book-turned-movie The Devil Wears Prada premiered in 2006, the fashion community clutched its pearls. I, however, was nine years old and my mother took me to the local AMC theatre to watch, having already clocked my love of fashion.
I left the theater earnestly asking my mom why anyone would want to work at a place that stressful; how ironic that I would actually end up a Vogue employee. I also left with very specific opinions of the characters. I hated Andy’s boyfriend, for one, and while I didn’t like Emily either, I loved her blue eyeshadow. It felt so her; and there’s a clear reason why. Nicki Ledermann, the celebrated TV and film makeup artist who led the department on the original movie (earning a BAFTA nomination, no less), explains that the looks focused on characterization rather than imitation. No wonder the looks still read fresh and modern despite two decades having passed since its debut.

Madonna and Michael Jackson Are Back in the Conversation — So Is Their Strange History
As a blockbuster biopic and new music return them to the zeitgeist, a look at the brief, uneasy period when the two megastars tried to share the same space

In a strange bit of pop-culture déjà vu, the two names back on everyone’s lips this summer are Madonna and Michael Jackson.
Antoine Fuqua’s Jackson biopic Michael, starring nephew Jaafar Jackson, has just delivered a huge global opening for a musical biopic. Madonna, meanwhile, is back in circulation, coming off Coachella appearances and teasing new music with Sabrina Carpenter.
Which makes this a useful moment to revisit the period when the two biggest pop stars in the world briefly tried to operate in the same orbit.

Can You Tell Right from Wrong in These Drawings?
17th-century Dutch and Flemish artists took the call to instruct—and amuse—seriously

When you peruse news websites and social media, you probably scroll through lots of disapproving headlines about public figures’ bad behavior, as well as proud displays of moral righteousness, often mocked as virtue signaling. People today tend to receive messages about the good and bad in the world through digital means, but how were people in the past instructed to behave, when societal values couldn’t be espoused at the touch of a button?
The exhibition Virtue and Vice: Allegory in European Drawing invites visitors to the Getty Museum to consider how art from the 16th to the 19th centuries served a moral purpose. Artists looked to biblical texts, classical history, mythology, and the world around them for examples of both sinful and virtuous behavior, embracing their fertile imaginations and remarkable talents to design compositions that moved viewers emotionally and compelled good behavior.

Meryl Streep explains why she ‘had a beef’ with her Death Becomes Her costar Goldie Hawn
The “Florence Foster Jenkins” actress also explained why filming the 1992 dark comedy was sometimes “excruciating.”
Meryl Streep has mixed feelings about her time working on Death Becomes Her.
The Mamma Mia star reflected on collaborating with Goldie Hawn on the 1992 dark comedy, noting one particular habit that drove her crazy.
“Goldie, she was always late to set,” Streep said in an interview with Vanity Fair. “But she was so adorable. And I’m always on time, you know, and annoying. But she’s late, and she had a red convertible, I remember, and she’d drive herself to set. So that was probably the problem.”
Streep continued, “She’d drive herself to set. She had her hair all…’Oh gosh, sorry!’ And everybody thought, ‘Oh, she’s so cute.’ Yeah. So I had a beef with her.”

Meryl Streep honors ‘bitchy’ Stanley Tucci and his ‘formidable’ heterosexuality at Walk of Fame ceremony
The “Mamma Mia” actress also praised her “Devil Wears Prada” costar Emily Blunt, who was also honored with a star at the ceremony: “I feel like I birthed you.”

Meryl Streep is paying tribute to one of her cattiest collaborators.
The Bridges of Madison County actress waxed poetic about Stanley Tucci at the actor’s Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony, and also honored their Devil Wears Prada costar Emily Blunt in Los Angeles on Thursday.
“You can’t even call Stanley a national treasure anymore because I’ve just been around the world and truly the affection hurled at him globally, he’s just marinating in it,” Streep said at the ceremony, which comes in the midst of a long international press tour promoting The Devil Wears Prada 2. “And it’s impossible not to love Stanley Tucci. Urbane, sly, funny, bitchy, and generous and curious and so elegant.”

I Have My Airport Outfits Down to a Science—6 Clothing Mistakes I Always Avoid, and What to Wear Instead
These under-$50 pieces are proof that style and comfort can fly together.

If there’s one place your travel outfit will turn on you, it’s the airport. I learned that the hard way when I was stuck in uncomfortable jeans, mid delay, and counting down the minutes until I could change. Flying every month has made me ruthless about what I wear to the terminal. Tight, non-breathable denim is out, uncomfortable shoes are a hard no, and anything restrictive just makes a long travel day feel longer. Even a bulky tote bag can become a nuisance fast by slipping off your shoulder and keeping your essentials a little too exposed for comfort.
