We got one easy-to-predict thing right in our pre-Oscars coverage of her awards track style: She went for something fitted, sexy and classically glam. What we didn’t expect is that she’d show up pulling the Full Angelina:
And we think it’s … just okay as a design.
Oh, she looks great, no doubt. She looks amazing in white, of course, and the beading along the top of the bust is elegant and a great feature for pictures and speech-giving. The jewelry is stunning. We’re just not that crazy about the skirt; the way it was designed to look like she hiked it up onto her hip. While we sniffily suggest that the slit may be just a bit too high, that’s less of an issue for us than the way the entire lower half makes her look lop-sided. It’s not a bad look at all. Like we said, she looks great. It just doesn’t have quite the WOW factor we were hoping for.
