Miss Margot cycles her way through a lot of different styles, because she’s on the lowest fashion difficulty setting and she’s got a knack for working a pretty wide range of looks from a bunch of periods and design schools. Looking at this little getup, it strikes us that she’s turning toward a showier form of drag than we’re used to seeing from her.
It’s a lot of dress. And she’s doing all she can to project a serene sort of Princess Grace-like poise while she’s in it. The styling’s working pretty hard to tone things down as well. We can’t say it’s working all that well. She looks beautiful. We don’t even mind the sleeve or hem treatments so much, but the body of the dress looks so stiff and heavy; like a beaded body cast with ruffles. It’s different; we’ll give it that. And bold. It certainly takes a picture. But it looks really stiff and uncomfortable. We wonder if removing the shoulder ruffles might go a long way toward correcting the proportions and heaviness.
