John Slattery and Christina Hendricks in London

Posted on August 04, 2014

It’s so weird to see them like this. It’s like “Joan and Roger, the 2014 Edition.”

They’re busy in the city promoting their new film, “God’s Pocket.” Christina Hendricks is wearing a Temperley London Folk lace-paneled crepe jumpsuit accessorized with Karen Walker sunglasses and Kurt Geiger London ‘Britton’ pumps.

He looks good. The whole outfit’s working for him. The problem is the extreme wrinkling in the shirt, which makes it look like he napped in the limo or something. John, a little advice. If you can’t sit still and ramrod straight (as one should, when one is traveling somewhere where one’s picture will be taken) in your limo, then at least button the jacket when you get out of it.

She also looks good, which is surprising to us because if you said “black lace jumpsuit” to us, we’d respond with, “If such a thing absolutely must exist in the world, we can learn to accept it, but please, just keep it away from Christina Hendricks.” But the shape really works for her and she looks very relaxed and confidently chic. It’s got an appealing “real world” quality to it, if lace jumpsuits were something you saw in the real world on a regular basis.
