It’s WEDNESDAY and we could use some bold color and dazzling patterns. Settle in and order something you absolutely shouldn’t. Oh! And one more thing: We couldn’t possibly let the release of The Devil Wears Prada 2 go by without our input, so we’re delaying our podcast until Friday, when we can offer you all of our thoughts on it. You’ll have a very busy listening weekend as we’ll also be releasing the pod for the Bitter Kitten Movie Club on the same day.
Laura Dern Joins ‘The White Lotus’ Season 4, Reuniting With Series Creator Mike White
The White Lotus has filled its unexpected vacancy, and series creator Mike White did not look far to do it. Oscar winner Laura Dern, a longtime collaborator and friend of White’s, has joined Season 4 of his HBO series set in France. She replaces Helena Bonham Carter who left late last week.
Dern will play a new character, which is being developed and written for her by White. HBO said at the time of Carter’s exit that after filming had gotten underway on the new season the previous week, “it had become apparent” that the character created by White for Carter “did not align once on set.”
This Under-the-Radar Japanese Tea Is the Secret to Richer, Smokier Sweets
Chefs are reaching for roasty, nutty hojicha to amp up cheesecake, ice cream, and more.
Across the country, matcha is ubiquitous in specialty drinks and desserts. It even works its way into some savory dishes. But it isn’t the only type of Japanese green tea powder that chefs are experimenting with in restaurants.
In the last few years, hojicha has crept onto dessert menus from Los Angeles to New York City. The roasted green tea, derived from discarded leaves and stems of the same type of tea plant harvested for matcha, is less expensive and has less caffeine than its ultra-popular counterpart. Its smooth, nutty taste and smoky aroma offer a distinctive flavor profile that sings when paired with classic ingredients like seasonal fruit, chocolate, and espresso.
If You Love Denim, These 5 Trends Are Set To Dominate This Summer
From nostalgic cuts to pastel hues
Though the warmer months may call for breezy silhouettes such as spring dresses and linen trousers, one thing’s for sure: denim remains the cornerstone of any well-curated wardrobe. For those not keen to part ways with this staple even as temperatures rise, I’m pleased to confirm that this summer there are a whole host of new colour ways, lighter fabrics and prints to try out.
This season designers have us feeling nostalgic about denim. Familiar silhouettes, like low-cut flares, make a return with a modern and more wearable approach, while classic blues give way to pastel shades and prints (something we haven’t see for some time).
We Tried 6 of America’s Top-Selling Light Beers, Sight-Unseen — One Clear Winner Emerged
Think you can taste the difference between these classic American light beers? We gave it a try — here’s our definitive ranking.
Over the past half-century, light beer has been on a journey. While producer Rheingold launched Gablinger’s Diet Beer in the late 1960s, the category as we know it was popularized in 1975, when Miller Brewing Company nationally released Miller Lite. Miller employed a marketing push that avoided “diet” terminology and instead emphasized sports and machismo, aimed to establish “light beer” as a legitimate style that happened to have fewer carbs and calories.
2026’s Defining Swimwear Trends, According to the Experts—Whether You’re Jetting Off or Just Browsing
From city-friendly styles to bold bursts of colour
Whether you’re heading to the sun or simply in the mood for some escapist scrolling, swimwear season is officially here. And although I already have my trusted go-to styles that I return to year after year—such as a great black bikini or a strapless swimsuit I can wear at home or away—as a swimwear obsessive, I’m always looking for fun new additions to my collection.
Spring/Summer 2026’s trends lean into styles that feel fresh and fun, yet remain timeless, flattering and wearable. Think minimalist silhouettes, muted hues balanced with bold prints, and playful colour combinations. It’s a shift away from throwaway trends, focusing instead on investing in pieces that truly work for you.
‘Grotesque And Dehumanising’, ‘Euphoria’ Changed TV, But The New Series Ruins Its Legacy
Sam Levinson’s debauched teen drama has always been provocative. But its third and final series overshadows everything that once made it worth watching.
Let’s get one thing straight: Euphoria has never been an easy watch. From the moment it first aired in 2019, the show has courted controversy with scenes that felt, at best, like headline-grabbing provocations and, at worst, akin to a humiliation ritual.
In season one alone, we saw a now-infamous sequence featuring 30 penises, relationships charged with abuse and disturbing power imbalances, and Sydney Sweeney’s character Cassie high on MDMA, publicly climaxing while riding a carousel at a local carnival. Lurid, shameless and often cruel, sex has always been central to director Sam Levinson’s debauched vision of Gen Z teenagehood.
Before You Commit to a Laser Facial, Read These 8 Insider Rules Experts Rarely Share
Consider this your pre-laser checklist
Laser treatments have become one of the most in-demand routes to smoother, clearer, more even-looking skin—but the reality is far less plug-and-play than the glossy before-and-afters suggest. The results can be transformative, yes, but they’re also surprisingly dependent on the details: your skin tone, your prep, your aftercare, and—crucially—your expectations. It’s this gap between promise and reality that often catches people out. And while clinics have never been more accessible, experts say too many patients are still walking in underprepared—risking disappointment at best, irritation at worst.

37 pedicure ideas that your toes deserve for summer 2026
Plus the top pedi trends to know.
Let’s be honest, toes get the short end of the stick when it comes to beauty upkeep. For instance, how often does your algorithm serve you up pedicure ideas? It seems every day there’s a new shiny manicure trend going viral for our fingernails (looking at you, cake nails and ice cream mani). But when was the last time a celeb’s lacquered toenails broke the beauty internet? Mmm.
Looking at the hashtag views on TikTok though, despite the platform being inundated with mani inspo 3.8 million videos (and picking up more than 43.8 billion views), the sizeably smaller portion of videos (1.8 million) catering to your toes has raked in an almost-as-whopping 43.3 billion views. Which just goes to show, the interest is there, even if the content is sometimes not.
How to nail a French knot hairstyle every time, according to a professional stylist
Your step-by-step guide to the timeless look.
The French knot screams “effortlessly chic,” but perfecting it? Not as effortless as it might look. Learning how to do a French knot hairstyle might take a little patience, but once you’ve got it down, the skill will serve you for years to come.
A French knot is a sort of hybrid between a low ballerina bun and a French twist. Depending on how you style it, it can look loose and on-the-go, or sleek and formal. “The French knot is a timeless classic that never goes out of style,” says Van Hong, pro stylist and cofounder of hair-tool maker Mint Tools. “It’s elegant, versatile, and flattering on all face shapes.” Hong says that the real beauty of the French knot is that it’s simple and understated, but still feels elevated: “It lets the makeup, clothing, and overall styling shine while still making a refined statement.”
What Is a Chorreador? Costa Rica’s Centuries-Old Pour-Over Coffee Method
This reusable filter is the secret to smoother coffee.
There are many ways to make a perfect cup of pour-over coffee. From simple drippers that fit on top of a mug to Hario’s V60 and Chemex, serious coffee drinkers are loyal to their preferred pour-over method. However, no one is more dedicated to their coffee-making technique than the people of Costa Rica.
A chorreador is used to make batches of pour-over coffee to power Costa Ricans through the day. While similar to other pour-over methods, it’s unique enough to produce coffee that’s distinctly Costa Rican. It’s why it’s been beloved by locals for centuries, and it’s now finding its way into kitchens around the world.

There’s a certain type of shoe that fits perfectly into transitional seasons – and fisherman sandals are pretty much at the top of the list. Honestly, fisherman sandals can do it all.
Here’s Why More Couples Are Breaking Registry Etiquette—and What They’re Doing Instead
Couples aren’t starting from scratch anymore. A recent Good Housekeeping survey shows how that’s repositioning the wedding registry.
Some wedding traditions have stood the test of time: the ring exchange, the first dance, the cake cutting. But one long-standing custom is changing fast: the wedding registry.
In the past, couples registered at a department store or major retailer, building a checklist of everything they’d need to start their lives together. Now, a new survey of more than 1,300 Good Housekeeping readers shows that couples are rewriting the rules and blending traditional etiquette with new ideas—whether that means registering for fewer physical gifts, more experiences, or even cash.
The 8 Best Dior Perfumes Of All Time Smell So Filthy Rich
Sophisticated scents to enhance your fragrance wardrobe.
If you were to time travel to Paris in February 1947, there would be one fragrance everyone talked about: Miss Dior Eau de Parfum. At the time, it was sunflower yellow (not the pink-with-a-cute-little-bow-on-top bottle we’ve come to know today), with an avant-garde chypre accord, a hint of jasmine, and a patchouli essence. Fast forward to 2025, and the iconic fragrance now has four iterations, solidifying its status as one of the best Dior perfumes. But, Miss Dior is only one of many exceptional options.
Over the years, the fashion house has enlisted famous noses like Francis Kurkdijian, François Demachy (you may know him from the documentary Nose), and Paul Vacher to craft its scents, with over 250 Dior fragrances and colognes to date.

Clooney’s photogenic Lake Como villa might be raking in even bigger royalties than its owner.
You won’t find George Clooney in the credits of The Devil Wears Prada 2. But if you look closely, you might be able to spot him sunbathing, far off in the distance.

How to Wash Linen Sheets So They Last for Years, According to Laundry Experts
Plus, how to dry them the right way.
Linen sheets have become very popular, especially during the warmer seasons, due to their effortlessly chic, lightweight, and relaxed appearance. However, caring for them is not as low-maintenance as typical cotton sheets. Since linen is a natural fiber made from flax, it needs gentle washing to maintain its softness and durability. The right care routine keeps linen sheets soft, strong, and long-lasting.

Local watering holes, street tacos, and classic West Texas charm—you’ll find it all in Terlingua.
When most people think of Texas, they might imagine harsh desert landscapes, craggy mountaintops, and the occasional tumbleweed rolling by. While most of the Lone Star State doesn’t actually look like that, there is one area of the state that seems as if it were plucked straight from a spaghetti Western: Far West Texas. And nowhere is that cowboy spirit more apparent and alive than in the small town of Terlingua.
