Go Birds. The Queen and King Willem-Alexander are in town for a round of events highlighting the ties between The Netherlands and America and to pay tribute to us on our 250th Anniversary. But really, she’s here to show her Eagles colors. One of the stops on their tour today is the Eagles practice facility, so we don’t think we’re going out on a limb here. She likes to dress according to a theme and we love that this is the one she landed on. We would love to give a visiting queen a free pass on the style front, but we have to be as God made us: bitchy and judgmental. The color’s lovely. Typical for her, there’s too much of it. That’s not a head-to-toe, multiple-pieces green. That’s a one-piece green with some complementary pieces to help tone it down. Given the textured fabric, the cape tends to come off too much like a blanket. Also, no surprise here, the ring clashes.
