It’s FRIDAY, darlings! Can you even stand it? We bet you can. We have faith in you. Take a seat and let’s get started.
“The Publicists Have to Be Stopped!”: Keke Palmer, Lisa Kudrow and Quinta Brunson on the Comedy Actresses Roundtable
Alongside Rachel Sennott, Hannah Einbinder and Ashley Padilla, the six queens of comedy debate labels, mistaken identity, audition embarrassments and — yes, really — ‘2 Girls 1 Cup.’
The ice was broken long before the cameras started rolling at THR’s annual Comedy Actresses Emmy Roundtable at The Georgian Hotel. “Your cleavage is remarkable, and I mean that respectfully,” Keke Palmer (The ’Burbs) tells I Love LA’s Rachel Sennott, just as the conversation is set to begin. She adds, “You know fashion, head-to-toe. You’re that girl.” “You’re that girl, as well,” Sennott replies. It was a true convocation of those girls. Also present: ascendant Saturday Night Live player Ashley Padilla, returned sitcom queen Lisa Kudrow (The Comeback), network comedy savior Quinta Brunson (Abbott Elementary) — she has thoughts on that label, by the way — and Hacks breakout Hannah Einbinder. Over the course of an hour, they all swapped stories about experiences in the industry that have amused, annoyed and flat-out shocked them.
‘The White Lotus’ Takes Cannes: See the First Photos of Laura Dern, Chris Messina on Set for Season 4
‘Survivor 50’ contestant Charlie Davis was also photographed filming at the location of the famed film festival alongside series stars Marissa Long and Charlie Hall.
The White Lotus cast is taking on Cannes, even though the film festival is technically over.
Photos of Laura Dern, Marissa Long and Chris Messina have been snapped near the iconic Cannes’ steps, offering eager viewers a first look at the anticipated fourth season. Shots of Charlie Hall on the carpet have also been taken, as separate images of AJ Michalka, Alexander Ludwig and Chloe Bennet were also snapped.
Dern and Long’s red carpet looks mirrored one another, as the former actress wore a black gown adorned with baby pink feathers, and Long stunned in a sparkly all-pink ensemble.
A rare blue ‘micromoon’ is coming very soon – here’s what it means for you
This only happens once in a blue moon (ahem)…
Although full moons typically occur every 29.5 days, the length of a lunar cycle, it is pretty uncommon for two full moons – or a double full moon – to take place within the same month. But that’s exactly what’s set to happen this month.
We’ve already been lucky enough to experience May 2026’s Flower Moon, but this weekend, a rare Blue Moon will be visible in the sky.
Keke Palmer Says She Gets Recognized Most for Viral “Sorry to This Man” Meme
The I Love Boosters star reflects on major career moments, including Hustlers, Nope, and her unforgettable appearance on Vanity Fair’s lie detector test.
Keke Palmer can still recall every word to a pivotal scene in Akeelah and the Bee, the 2006 film that put her on the map. Lip-synching the dialogue two decades later, Palmer tells Vanity Fair, “I love that little girl, you know? She was fighting for her life, okay?” Luckily, a young Palmer had costars Angela Bassett and Laurence Fishburne as mentors: “In so many ways, they were my first teachers in the industry.”
While walking down memory lane for Vanity Fair’s Scene Selection, Palmer reflected on her three seasons as star of the Nickelodeon series True Jackson, VP, from 2008 to 2011. “I grew up watching Disney, Nickelodeon, always being like, Wow, it would be so cool to do something like that. We all did. And it actually happened,” says Palmer. “Like, I was just gagged beyond belief.”
Should you ever ask for a dry haircut?
And no, dry haircuts are not a TikTok invention or a new trend.
“Do you know any place where I can get a good dry haircut,” a friend asked me a few weeks ago on WhatsApp, apparently hoping that a beauty editor would give her a good recommendation. I confessed to her that I didn’t quite know what it was — other than, I assumed, a haircut done with dry hair. And naturally, I asked her why she wanted one. “I want to get good bangs done,” she wrote, “and I’ve heard that’s the best way to get the perfect shape.” When I saw her later that week, she was sporting stunning ’70s-style bangs, achieved with a dry cut.
‘Better Than “The Handmaid’s Tale”‘ If You’ve Slept On ‘The Testaments’ Here’s Why To Binge It All Now
The show has been a huge success, growing in power with each episode.
With its purple hue, a Mallory Towers-esque setting and a trailer soundtracked by The Cranberries’ Dreams, on first sight the world of The Testaments can seem a million miles away from the brutally grim Gilead viewers came to know and loathe across the six series of The Handmaid’s Tale.
But while fans of The Handmaid’s Tale may have been concerned about how the legacy of their favourite show would be carried by The Testaments, they need not have worried. The show has been a huge success, growing in power with each episode and gripping its growing fan base until the chilling finale this week. Now, they eagerly await its return, with a second season confirmed.
Blooming gel nails are getting a softer, dreamier makeover for summer 2026
We’re swapping out the blended tie-dye designs of 2023 for delicate tropical blooms and intricate butterfly spots.
Summer is filled with opportunities for cute nailfies (aka nail selfies). Tropical vacations, beachside reading and pool hangs all present aesthetic backdrops to show off your latest set. And if you haven’t mapped out your summer manicure lineup yet, top nail artists have predictions for the season’s top trends to spark inspiration: Experts say this summer’s nail trends will lean heavily into designs that evoke movement and texture. The demand for more dynamic nail art is prompting artists to dust off their blooming gel kits for the first time in nearly three years.
Marilyn Monroe’s Most Famous Dress Is Ready for Its Close-Up
Inside a white conservation room at Los Angeles’s Academy Museum of Motion Pictures, the most famous pink dress in Hollywood has been turned over and opened up, like a patient mid operation. The shocking pink gown Marilyn Monroe wore while singing “Diamonds Are a Girl’s Best Friend” in 1953’s Gentlemen Prefer Blondes—the one that inspired Madonna’s “Material Girl,” Ryan Gosling’s 2024 Oscar-night Ken fantasia, and countless drag tributes and Halloween costumes—is being carefully examined ahead of its return to public view as the centerpiece of “Marilyn Monroe: Hollywood Icon” (May 31, 2026, through February 28, 2027), an exhibition marking Monroe’s centennial.
Granny-inspired bracelet watches are the only piece of jewellery you need this summer
The epitome of functional beauty, bracelet watches have the potential to transform your whole look.
Yes, I know a watch is technically not a piece of jewellery, but when it looks as chic as bracelet watches – it definitely feels like you’re wearing something decorative.
I can already feel the eyes of timepiece purists rolling their eyes, the same ones who went crazy over the AP x Swatch collab that took the world by storm just the other week. But if you’re like me and the classic watch world feels like something too complicated to get into, then consider their fun, frivolous relative that’s made for the girls, the gays and those few ambiguous allies (I’m looking at you Bad Bunny & Harry Styles). Welcome to the world of granny-inspired bracelet watches.
The Side of Marilyn Monroe That Nobody Knew
A century after her birth, the late star is remembered for her talent, her mystery, her beauty, and her untimely end. A new biography argues that she should also be remembered for her mind.
In Western culture there are few people more sought after than Marilyn Monroe. One hundred years after her birth, Monroe’s shimmery, whirling loveliness does not fade. Neither does the fascination with every aspect of her life and death. Her films endure. She inspires art, literature, music, and fashion. Marilyn Monroe is everywhere. But responses to Monroe’s legacy are complex. She is adored, she is mocked, she is the punchline to a joke, she is venerated, she is a shorthand stereotype for misogyny. Her body (both living and dead) is scrutinized and judged. She’s too fat, she’s too thin. She’s beautiful. She’s stupid. After she died, the mortician announced to the press that she needed a manicure and that her roots were showing. She was slovenly. She was immaculate. She left crumbs in bed. She wore Vaseline on her face. In the years that Marilyn was alive just about every feature of her physicality was dissected. But one aspect of Monroe that received hardly any attention at all—mainly because it was assumed to be non-existent—was her mind.
How to style lace shorts like the fashion set this summer
Heat wave appropriate.
It’s officially shorts season, but rather than your garden-variety denim cut-offs, fashion insiders are serving up multiple ways to style lace shorts. The trend for underwear as outerwear has been gaining momentum over the last few years – from lace camisoles to sheer organza skirts. So, too, is ‘grannycore’ – a fashion aesthetic that embraces typical ‘grandma’ clothing, such as ruffled, lace trims on blouses and oversized cardigans.
The Case for Adding Salt to Your Cocktails
Bartenders say it makes almost every cocktail taste better.
Recall the first time you tasted a perfectly ripe tomato sprinkled with salt or ate a French fry that wasn’t properly seasoned, and it’s immediately clear how salt transforms our food. Just a pinch or two can make a dish go from pretty good to something truly great.
While that knowledge has been fully adopted in the kitchen, it hasn’t been totally embraced behind the bar until recently. While you may not have considered seasoning a cocktail before taking a sip, the best bartenders know that just as salt can be used to take a restaurant dish up a notch, it can also level up a drink.
Rosie O’Donnell Thought a Facelift Was a “Betrayal” of Feminism. Then She Got One.
“I used to feel very strongly about facelifts. Not casually—morally,” the actor writes in her latest Substack post.
Rosie O’Donnell got a facelift—and she has some thoughts to share.
The comedian and actor revealed this week that she had a lower deep-plane facelift in January, sharing her complicated feelings on Substack in her now-signature poetic style. In the post, titled “decisions,” O’Donnell wrote that she had always sworn she’d never go under the knife. After losing 50 pounds, she changed her mind.
“I used to feel very strongly about facelifts,” O’Donnell wrote. “Not casually—morally. I had assigned myself as head of all women who would never ever.” She went on to say that getting a facelift felt like a “betrayal” of feminism and aging, even of “our team of women worldwide.” But after her weight loss, O’Donnell said her face changed to a point that “I’d look in the mirror and think – this isn’t aging, this is melting with intention.” She tried to accept it, and couldn’t: “There’s a point where acceptance starts to feel like lying.”
We Put Sports-Star Wines Through a Bracket Battle, and 1 Bottle Took the Title
The best wines made by famous athletes, according to our highly subjective taste-off.
I’ll put the spoiler first. For this article, we tasted a lot of wines made by celebrity athletes, and guess what? A surprising number were really, really good.
That’s where this wine critic says mea culpa; my assumption has always been that most celebrity brands are cynical marketing exercises: some famous someone’s flavored vodka, shilled to fans for a quick buck.
Maybe sports legends are different. When CJ McCollum buys 300-plus acres of Oregon Pinot vineyards, the guy is getting into grapes in a serious way. Pro golfer Cristie Kerr makes wine and became a certified sommelier. There’s a lot of passion in this realm.
Armed with hope, we sourced a lot of wines from sports stars. We put the bottles into March Madness–style brackets, tasted them against each other, and narrowed the whole league down to one champion.

Helping you navigate your toppling TBR one viral rec at at time.
If you’re reading this, I’m going to assume that you’ve landed on the literary side of TikTok, also known as #BookTok. As both an avid reader who polishes off close to 200 books a year and a frequent TikTok scroller, a lot of my screen time is comprised of getting book recs from my fellow TikTok users.
The thing is, there are quite literally thousands of BookTok recs at this point—and as someone who has read her fair share of them, I’m here to help you cut through the noise and find the titles that are actually worth adding to your toppling TBR.
Whether you love romance, are craving a popcorn thriller, have been bitten by the romantasy bug (I see you, Sarah J. Maas girlies!), or love to see a Cinderella story, I’m confident there’s a title in here to please every type of reader.
We Put 7 Frozen Burritos to the Test — and One Classic Easily Came Out on Top
The tasting included everything from cheesy chicken burritos to a sweet potato-and-cactus entry that earned points for ambition alone.
The frozen burrito has been a staple of the American freezer since before most of us can remember, and for good reason. It’s reliable, affordable, microwaveable, and a lifeline for everything from busy weeknights to late-night hunger emergencies. While a frozen burrito surely hits the spot when the time is right, not every brand is created equal. And we’re not in the ’90s anymore. The frozen burrito lineup has gotten both a lot more crowded and a lot more interesting. To help you find the best of the bunch, Food & Wine’s own Andee Gosnell and Josh Scherer, chef and host of Mythical Kitchen, came together to taste-test seven of them. That way, you know which ones are worth your freezer space.
Why Everyone Wants an Analog Room Right Now—and How to Design Your Own
The newest home design trend is all about relaxing and recharging.
If the hustle and bustle of digital distractions and endless social media notifications are starting to wear you down, this home-design-meets-wellness trend is made for you: an “analog room” is an intentional, screen-free zone in your house dedicated to rest, relaxation, play, and connection. The space might look like a cozy library filled with shelves of books, puzzles, and board games. For others, it could be centered around music, with vinyl records, instruments, and cushions set up for laid-back listening.
7 Charming Small Towns in the Catskills—With Vintage Diners, Craft Breweries, and the State’s Most Beautiful Waterfall
From fiery foliage to summer swimming holes, these New York destinations deliver year-round.
The Catskills have long been a retreat—first for 19th-century painters and writers, later for city escapees chasing mountain air and summer swims. That legacy hasn’t faded, but the region feels freshly alive these days as chefs, artists, and creative entrepreneurs put down roots. Farm-to-table restaurants, craft food and beverage purveyors from breweries to creameries, and design-driven boutique hotels now coexist with retro diners, antique shops, and historic inns—many of which have been restored.
This Tiny European Country Is Less Than 16 Miles Long—but It’s Home to Medieval Castles, Alpine Villages, and More
Here’s why you should plan a trip to Liechtenstein, and what to do once you’re there.
Nestled between Switzerland and Austria, Liechtenstein is a tiny country that covers just 62 square miles and is home to approximately 40,000 residents. But it’s filled with as much culture and natural wonder as a destination 10 times its size—and my husband and I checked it off our travel list on a recent road trip through Europe.
To experience the magic of this Alpine destination for yourself, here’s what you need to know to plan a visit to Liechtenstein, including the top places to stay, explore, and dine.
