We have to assume that the entire cast of The Devil Wears Prada 2 is invited to the Met Gala, which means Emily Blunt and John Krasinski took part in a little pre-game action at the Lucille Lortel Awards in New York last night. We take no pleasure in reporting that her style streak has ended and she’s back in Stella.
It’s certainly not the worst Stella McCartney design we’ve ever seen. We don’t even think it’s the worst Emily Blunt jawn we’ve ever covered, not when this is still fresh in our memories. But we wouldn’t recommend anyone show up in white satin for a night time event where you’ll be photographed. She’s just blinding in this, and the various design choices, like that awful waist seam, the goofy peplum and the flimsy high collar make it look cheap. We won’t even get into the silly way she’s wearing the sleeves. As for him, we could quibble over the grooming or the slightly snug jacket, but for the most part, he looks great. The shoes are all wrong, but the contrasting colors and patterns in the outfit.
