The world’s longest promotional tour* continued as The Devil Wears Prada 2 stars Anne Hathaway and Emily Blunt gave Meryl the night off and did the corporate-branded heavy lifting themselves at a special New York screening.

We’ve said it before: if you need to get dressed up for an event in New York and you want to embody the style of the city, Michael Kors is your guy. It’s not trendy fashion or edgy fashion; just good classic pieces that speak of a certain woman and lifestyle (moneyed, career-driven and urban). We can’t comment on the dress, obviously, but the coat is a classic and the whole look feels very “aughts fashionista,” which isn’t a bad theme to embody on this junket. The pop of color shoe is officially back, ladies (and other pump-wearers).

We can’t tell if they both put their heads together and said “Let’s dress like it’s 2006 again,” but that’s the distinct impression we get from both looks. We’re very tired of the whole “dressing to match the corporate branding” thing (and got to bitch about it to an international audience today), but this is a pretty cute look. They both look like Hollywood’s idea of how a fashion editor dresses.
