Look, it’s a given that Michael B. Jordan is going to look very cute and/or very hot no matter what he wears. So stipulated. But we have to be as God made us and point out that there are two aspects to his red carpet look for the premiere of Swapped that we kind of hate. Can you guess them? We bet you can:

If you think it’s the neutral color, that’s not it. He looks great in tans and beiges. If you think it’s the lack of belt, that’s not it either, since we don’t think one would look right given the softly casual vibe of the ensemble. If you think it’s the puddling pants, give yourself a point. Now, you might think the second thing is the white t-shirt, since we have a long history of calling them undershirts when guys sport them on red carpets. It’s not that, although it’s contributing to the issue. It’s the sweater. While we think it can be styled in a way that would suit him (as in the look book shot below), wearing it like this just turns it into a Nana cardigan. It looks more suited to a string of pearls than a t-shirt. Having said that, it’s a pretty sweet sweater. We’re not opposed to the design at all. We just don’t think it works as well when you try to wear it casually. Love the shoes, though!
