Hacks star Jean Smart came to Jimmy Kimmel Live in a look that we almost wound up loving. Unfortunately, there’s a design element at play that’s so awful, we just can’t get past it. See if you can guess what it is:
That’s right! It’s the black pumps. Just kidding. Of course it’s that awful ruffle, which does absolutely nothing good for the design. Can’t say we’re loving the lace cuffs all that much either, but they’re not nearly as bad as that pointless jacket ruffle. It looks slightly less bad on the model in the look book but we suspect that has less to do with the pants she’s wearing than the fact that she’s, y’know, a model. They tend to be good at wearing the goofy shit.
