Apparently it’s something of a victory lap of a month for Michelle Yeoh, who picked up the Golden Bear Award in Berlin last week, followed by her Hollywood Walk of Fame ceremony. We suppose all of this was set up to coincide with awards season because of Wicked, but that turned out to be a bust. Still! Nothing wrong with a trophy or honor now and then. Especially since she got to redefine that old celebrity style standby, the perfect “laying on the sidewalk” look.
Most stars wouldn’t opt for a flowy silk dress and silver ankle strap pumps for a situation that demands she lay down in the street, but most stars aren’t Michelle Yeoh. The skirt gets a little too tricky for its own good and we don’t like the raw edges or the way it looks pinned together, but it has a lovely drape and the color looks amazing on her. We can see sporting silver with this shade of yellow, but those shoes look weird with the dress; too formal and fancy for something designed to look like it was just thrown on her.
