Yes, Star Search is back. Even weirder, it appears to be a major hit for Netflix. Stepping in for Ed McMahon are new co-hosts Sarah Michelle Gellar and Chrissy Teigen, who have been serving up looks with each night’s taping. Let’s judge the judges.
NIGHT ONE

Well, she’s giving us tacky and that’s pretty much what we’ve come to expect from her. We really don’t like that shade of green, but we like the “unlined” top even less. Still, it’s giving a sort of Heidi Klum level of glam and that’s kind of what you want from your talent show hostess.

So it looks like they’re both going to be serving up Heidi-level glam-tackiness. Again, we have no problem with that. This is not a venue or situation that calls for haute elegance. The shoulder’s kind of nutty but this is fun and she looks great.
NIGHT TWO

This is a rare instance when we think the neutral color story works to the design’s benefit because this could skew awfully tacky in other shades. Having said that, we really don’t love that bell shape. The earrings are kind of fabulous but out of proportion with the outfit. The shoes are terrible.

Still kind of fun if a little basic. We think she can probably be a little bit more adventurous than this in her choices, but the only thing that bugs us here is the hem length.
