For a refreshing change of pace, Wake Up Dead Man: A Knives Out Mystery star Kerry Washington opted to wear a tiny little cocktail dress for her Jimmy Kimmel Live visit.

Our first impulse is to suggest that this frock looks kind of dated, but we wonder if that isn’t at least partially due to the fact that so few female stars opt for dresses this short during their promotional work anymore. Not that there’s anything scandalous about the length. It’s a perfectly fine dress and she appears to be quite comfortable and confident in it. Can’t say we’re loving the color, though. And it’s definitely better standing than sitting, but she looks cute.
