Hamnet stars Jessie Buckley and Paul Mescal came to the New York screening and we have to pay them at least one compliment:

This is not a co-starring duo where she’s expected to do all the heavy lifting on the red carpet. Unlike certain co-stars, they tend to dress at the same semi-schumpy level. To be fair, these are pretty on point outfits for a New York screening. No one should expect them to show up to an event like this in formalwear.

Same old boring all-black priestwear that 90% of male stars are wearing lately. Meh. Feh, even.

It’s very “queer office manager in 1994,” which does tend to suit her quite well. We won’t get mad at it, considering how little effort her co-star put in, but we do think a contrasting scarf was desperately needed here. Also, butter yellow isn’t really her color.
