We gave Florence Pugh and Pedro Pascal their own spotlight posts, but it’s time to wrangle the rest of the stars at the Thunderbolts* London premiere and tell them what we think of their outfits.
Hannah John-Kamen in Jason Wu
It’s pretty — when she just lets it be a dress. That’s not a skirt designed for playing with and it kind of ruins the effect of the design when she does. We get that you want to show off the legs, but in a dress like this, you do that by taking BIG strides.
Jodie Turner-Smith in Burberry
Ooof. That’s gonna be a big ol’ no for us, lady. We like that she has a maximalist approach to style, but there’s simply too much going on here and nothing about it looks pretty or chic to us. What a weird outfit.
Julia Louis-Dreyfus in Thom Browne
We’ve seen this exact Thom Browne look a few too many times lately, but it does look pretty fantastic on her.
Lewis Pullman in Saint Laurent
Looks great. That’s a fantastic suit, but we’d have liked a little color somewhere.
Nathalie Emmanuel in David Koma
This is sharply interesting and we’re very grateful to the designer for not making the hem asymmetrical, although it does hit too low. We look forward to knee-length dresses making their return at some point. The shoes don’t match and she could use some jewelry.
Simu Liu in Emporio Armani
This is gorgeous. It doesn’t necessarily pop in pictures, but we can tell the coat is very fine and we love the patent leather boots with it. His hair looks great.
Wyatt Russell
It’s boring, but the grooming is tight and the fit is impeccable.
