The stars of The Amateur came out to serve very nice looks at the London premiere. Mostly.

Most of the time, we’d advise men away from a green and purple suit combination, unless they plan on portraying the Joker. But this all looks fine as hell on him. The coat is gorgeous. Our only quibbles: we think the shoes should be black and we think the tie is unnecessarily focus-pulling.

We’re surprised to find ourselves admitting that the color looks pretty great on her – or at least, much better than we would have predicted. Generally, the pale folk don’t handle this shade well. It’s such a shame, then, that the design is so awfully hideous. Seriously, this is yet another instance of us wondering how someone tries this on and says “That’s the one.” That side zipper isn’t perhaps the most egregious part of the design, but it’s the part we’re most annoyed by.

Well, this all appears to be very much in order – for 1982. Not that we’re complaining. He looks great. Love the shoes. He should button the jacket, though.
