Her resting bitchface is kind of hilarious. The dress is meh. We’ve seen much worse in the way of unlined lace frocks and we’ve definitely seen worse with a Chanel label attached in recent months, so it gets points for not being a disaster. If it appeals at all, it’s because she’s selling the hell out of it, even if it does look like she’s trying to kill us with her mind.

Okay, here’s what: yes, we burst out laughing. A little. But also? As silly as this look is, we actually kind of love it a little, much in the same way we clapped with glee over Zoe Saldana’s hideous dress. Everything’s so samey and safe with awards season, so when we get to the end of it, we find ourselves craving a little cray. This is fun. And while we’d be furious if she’d worn this to the main ceremony, we think this is much more interesting than anything Monica Barbaro wore. Also, also: the top is actually pretty cute.
