Having exhaustively recapped and opinionated upon the fashion at the 2025 BAFTA Awards for several days now, it is long past time to shuffle the few remaining unjudged stars off the red carpet. Let’s get these last few judged. They’ve been waiting far too long to hear your opinions.
Anna Kendrick in Georges Chakra Couture

This is… almost great? Her style isn’t always as declarative as it should be, so we’re responding well to the black, which suits her. We hate the bow. The necklace is nice, but the neckline called for more of a pendant.
Camila Cabello in Sabina Bilenko Couture

Congratulations, girl! The year is still young, but you’re already a frontrunner for wearing the ugliest fucking dress of 2025!
David Tennant in Joshua Kane

We appreciate his dandyism, but we tend to find his fashion choices to be a bit too “ringmaster” in tone. And he seriously needs to lay off the hair dye.
Gwendoline Christie in Giles Deacon

She tends to wear her partner Giles Deacon’s designs a lot, which is good for him, because she seems to be the only person to whom they’re suited. This is darkly dramatic, but the design looks amateurish and we feel like her hair is doing all of the work.
Henry Golding

The loafers are probably a bit much under all of that velvet, but he looks great.
James McAvoy

We don’t know. Some of these shirtless men’s suit looks tend to look a little femme to our eyes. Of course there’s nothing wrong with dressing femme, but we tend to think most of the celebrity guys who sport this look are doing it because it makes them look hot, but we’re afraid it’s making too many of them look like Jane Lynch. It’s a nice suit and his hair looks great, but we don’t think the look suits him.
James Norton

It’s not as well fitted as it could be and he needs an undershirt, but this is one of his better red carpet efforts.
Jeff Goldblum in Loewe

Can’t really argue with that, although he should’ve buttoned his jacket.
Jesse Eisenberg

Whatever.
Letitia Wright in Prada

It’s simple, but it’s impeccable. And the color looks great on her.
Lupita Nyong’o in Chanel

Why Miss Lupita. You found yourself a pretty Chanel. We know that couldn’t have been easy.
Marisa Tomei in Sophie Couture

That’s a hot dress but the hair is a little casual.
Naomi Ackie in Atelier Versace

We’ll always love a pewter and bronze gown, She looks amazing, but the fit is so tight we fear she can’t breathe.
Pamela Anderson in Jacquemus

It’s a fantastic gown that looks great on her, but a clean face and limp hair are totally wrong for it. We reiterate our point that there are so many good ways to work a clean face through fashion, but choosing formal, fitted gowns and pairing them with tons of diamonds is the absolute worst way to go about it. She always looks like she’s at a fitting.
Saoirse Ronan and Jack Lowden in Louis Vuitton

Serving flawlessness. We’d have liked a richer color for her, though.
Sebastian Stan

Cleans up well.
Vanessa Williams in Pamella Roland

She’s making that very difficult color work for her, and the design has some fabulous qualities to it, but this is a dress in desperate need of some editing. The sleeves are kind of fun, but that thing hanging off her neck needs to go. And the trim around the waist looks chintzy to us.
