As we close out this short, red carpet-less holiday week, we turn to Miss Old Reliable herself, Jodie Turner-Smith, who never misses a chance to put on an eye-popping outfit and promote her latest. She was in New York this week making the rounds to talk about her new show The Agency.

We’ve never seen her sport such drab colors, but of course she made them work beautifully for her. It’s well executed tone-on-tone, but we might have liked seeing a shade that’s situated between the pants and the shoes. Everything skews a little light and we feel like it needs just a little contrast. It’s nitpicky as hell, but if the bag were in a caramel or cafe au lait, the whole thing would tie together beautifully. Still, it’s a really cute look.

This might be the biggest misfire she’s ever had the misfortune of misfiring. Are we seriously looking at white semi-sheer tights worn with a white diaper short and black pumps? Did you hit your head? Way to ruin a gorgeous piece of outerwear.

This might be the most conventional thing we’ve seen her wear all year – and of course she looks spectacular in it. She has this ability to put on an outfit a thousand other people have worn and make it look like she just discovered it herself. LOVING those shoulders, which are, admittedly, a significant twist on the standard ladytux.
