We are delighted to report that Saoirse Ronan is clearly determined to keep her fashion weird during the promo tour for The Outrun. For the Cinema Society screening, she opted to wear a fucked-up jacket as a dress and the results were surprisingly not disastrous. No, really:

Your mileage may vary regarding that previously expressed sentiment. But for real: except for the incredibly weird placement of the collar and the fact that her skirt has sleeves, we’re actually shocked by how well this twisted, inside-out outerwear actually works as a dress. It feels like the designer sort of gave up when it came to the skirt, but the overall look is strong and suits her well. The businesslike black pumps look stupid with it, however. If ever a dress called for combat boots…
