Netflix keeps shelling out the money to promote Emily in Paris and every design house wants their wares on the casts’ backs, which means once again, we’re all treated to a fashion show. Lily and her backup dancers got their dolce vita on at the Rome premiere of the second half of season four.

Just a note here that Netflix doesn’t even grant most shows more than three seasons total, and they sure as hell don’t lay out money to promote a fourth, let alone the second half of the fourth season.  This show must be doing crazy numbers for them.

We could quibble with the shape of the neckline or the style of shoe, but there’s no denying she looks drop-dead stunning. Minor details don’t matter.

Her fashion sense is very extra, which is fine, but we almost never truly love her choices. Instead, we wind up praising her for making difficult elements work. But we’d rather she stop picking difficult elements all the time. This is okay, but we loathe all of the fringe and dislike the wide neckline.

His dress sense is aggressively bland.

Looks spectacular but the pants need a hemming.

We’re not sure why she’s holding one shoe, but it kind of distracts from everything else. The dress is dramatic and we love the lining but the bodice looks lumpy and overdesigned.

It’s a great look, but the jacket is too tight on him and the popped collar is a little obnoxious.

The dress is giving Kardashian, which is why we love what she did with her hair, taking the look in a completely different direction.

Honestly? A bit of a letdown.

It’s interesting and definitely not boring, but it doesn’t take a great picture. This look is for a magazine editorial.
