We’re not sure if we’ve ever formally articulated what we’re about to say, and we’re completely unsure of how it will be received, but after looking at these shots of The Union star Halle Berry dropping by The Tonight Show, we feel compelled to state our truth, consequences be damned.
Her best hairstyle was that early ’90s pixie with the volume and the fringe and we have no idea why she avoids it so strenuously. There. We said it. Granted, we’d never expect anyone to keep the same hairstyle for thirty years. In fact, we’d consider it a bad idea in most cases. She’s sported a few tighter, spikier pixie cuts since then (not for a good while, though) but we’re surprised that she never really returned to what should be her signature look, considering how good it looked on her and how well it transitions into maturity. Not that she’s dressing like a typical Gen X gal in her late ’50s. She can pull off just about any kind of sexy, youthful fashion style she wants to because she looks amazing, but this crunchy bob is just not working. The jumpsuit’s not bad but we hate the belt.
