Everyone’s most annoying fashion girl is back as Emily in Paris kicks off its fourth season. To mark the occasion, series star Lily Collins worked some appropriately chic looks at the LA photo call and premiere. Brace yourselves — for virtually no critiques whatsoever.
We might quibble about the shape of those straps or the plunge of the neckline, but all of this works too well for us to get nitpicky about it. She looks great in brown and the fit is impeccable. We’re especially happy to see a pair of sheer hose in a shade other than black. She looks fantastic.
Can’t argue with any of that. We’re not the biggest fans of peplums and this one looks lampshade-stiff, but again, the overall look is so perfect that we can’t linger on any quibbles. A black gown can be awfully dull in pictures, but we love how this one has three distinct textures/patterns. They give the look some depth and interest without arguing with or pulling focus from each other. There’s a quiet confidence to both of these looks; a sense that she doesn’t need to go overboard with her choices because she can make relatively simple looks like these sing without any fuss.
