The combination of Thom Browne, Rebecca Ferguson and the Met Gala is a good one, because you know the first two are going to take the occasion of the third to do something most normal people would consider a little weird. Rebecca? That’s your cue, girl:

According to Thom Browne, thirty people were involved in the making and it took 8,500 hours to make, with 60,000 crystals and 7,000 folded petal raffia and raw raffia frayed ravens. It looks much, much better with the cape open. In fact, if we’re being honest, as much as we enjoy the drama of it, we think the dress is better off without the cape. Still, the whole look suits her so well. It’s not quite Goth Glam, but it’s got the perfect mixture of darkness and sparkle for her personality.
