It brings us no pleasure to report that Sandra Oh is currently suffering a style slump. We weren’t too concerned when she showed up at the premier of The Sympathizer in a slightly awkward gown, but when she made an appearance at the Writers Guild Awards a week later in a disastrous frock, we suspected something was up with her. Last night, she stopped by Colbert’s place in entirely too much outfit.

The thing is, none of these pieces are bad. In fact, any one of them would be a great starting point for an outfit, although the skirt is too tight on her and the hem hits at an awkward spot. That is a whole lot of blouse, but it could be fun if it had been paired with, say some simple pants in a neutral color. The shoes are fun but they’re just too much with the rest of it. We never say this sort of thing, but every problem with this outfit would be solved with a basic pair of black pants.
