We have extremely mixed feelings about Regina King’s whole look at the Shirley LA premiere. We feel you should prepare yourself for the scrolldown.

That is…certainly some kind of dress. We’re not sure what bugs us more; the extreme asymmetry of that skirt or the fact that the dress is literally chained to her. Premieres aren’t necessarily the place to go to look for practical, wearable fashion, but even for this setting, a skirt hem chained to your wrist strikes us nearly unworkable except for a limited number of poses. On the other hand, the styling is great. Love the hair and shoes. We don’t love the look, but at least she’s not engaging in Shirley cosplay. No method-dressing for this lady.
