Okay, we spent nearly two full days milking the NAACP Image Awards red carpet for content (all of which you can catch up on here), but it’s time to wrap things up. Come judge with us.

Andra Day in Naeem Khan

Pure old school glam. It may not be fresh or trendy, but she looks amazing.

Aunjanue Ellis-Taylor in Jovana Louis

We love the idea of this, and most of it works really well, but the color is harsh and that shirt is such a mess that it brings the whole look down.

Erika Alexander in Esé Azénabor and Sharon Lee Clark

She re-established herself as a bold, colorful, and offbeat red carpet presence this past year. We’re all for exuberance, but this look desperately needs some editing. That skirt needs pieces that doesn’t fight with it. The top is terrible and the bag is too gimmicky.

This is gorgeous, but the shoes are all wrong for it.

Jabari Banks

It’s pretty simple, but the slightly unexpected shapes and proportions do a lot to make it more interesting.

John Boyega in Paul Smith

It’s kind of strange to wear a coat made from the same suiting as your suit. The textile is too lightweight and it doesn’t even look like the coat was lined.

Kerry Washington in Vivienne Westwood

Can’t argue with any of that.

Leslie Jones in Jovana Louis

The dress is okay, although we don’t love the shape of the bodice. Didn’t need to gloves, but did need to go up a size on the shoe.

Lisa Ann Walter in Christian Siriano

This is the best she’s looked on a red carpet in ages.

Misty Copeland in Dolce & Gabbana

If you’re getting access to free designer goods, you should refrain from selecting pieces that make it look like you threw an outfit together based on what was clean.

Nathalie Emmanuel in Alberta Ferretti

Oof. We want to say “Girl, that’s not your color,” but that wouldn’t be true. It’s exactly her color. That’s the problem. It’s also an ugly design.

Naturi Naughton in Marchesa

Perfect.

Octavia Spencer in Lafayette 148 New York

The suit’s nice. The top is a missed opportunity to do something interesting.

Quinta Brunson in Naeem Khan

Pure flawlessness.

Robin Thede in Sebastian Gunawan

The feathers are borderline silly and we wish she’d picked a color that provided more contrast, but she’s actually making this work.

Ryan Michelle Bathe (in Shiran Abergel) and Sterling K. Brown

Her skirt’s a little too tricky for us, but they look gorgeous.

Sabrina Dhowre Elba (in Versace) and Idris Elba (in Gucci)

They’re both too monochromatic.

Sheryl Lee Ralph in Georges Hobeika

Diva, you deserve better.

Teyonah Parris in Dolce & Gabbana

The dress is okay, but she looks spectacular.

Usher in LaQuan Smith

It’s all too shiny and those too-long sleeves are causing furious eyelid twitches. Still, he’s Usher so he looks hot.

Yara Shahidi in Ferragamo

The dress is interesting, but the styling isn’t doing anything for it.
