Are you shrieking with excitement yet? Because when HBO unveiled not one but two different trailers for season 2 of House of the Dragon, we’re not ashamed to admit there was much flapping of hands Chez T Lo. So which one’s it gonna be, HOT D fans? Are you Team Green?

Or Team Black?

We have yet to pick a side because literally no one in this fucked up family is worth rooting for, which turns out to be what makes the series so fun for us. We happily recapped all of season one in our podcast and did a couple of deep dives on the costume design. We never expected to be all that into this show, what with all of the bad feelings surrounding the Game of Thrones finale. But it turned out that a fairly straightforward story about inbred royals with dragons was more intriguing than we could have predicted. We’re definitely on board, but frankly, we’ll be happy to see them all burn eventually. They’re terrible people, those Targaryens, but at least they had great hair.

The eight-episode second season of the HBO Original drama series HOUSE OF THE DRAGON debuts SUNDAY, JUNE 16 (9:00-10:00 p.m. ET/PT) on HBO and will be available to stream on Max.

Francesca Orsi, Executive Vice President, HBO Programming, Head of HBO Drama Series & Films, debuted HBO’s first-ever “dueling” trailers at Series Mania in Lille, France on Thursday, March 21 as part of Warner Bros. Discovery’s announcement that Max will begin launching in Europe on May 21. Click HERE for more details on the rollout of Max in Europe.

Westeros is on the brink of a bloody civil war with the Green and Black Councils fighting for King Aegon and Queen Rhaenyra, respectively. As each side believes theirs to be the rightful seat on the Iron Throne, the Green and Black trailers reflect those two perspectives in separate yet complementary halves of the same story. For global audiences, “All Must Choose” their side of House Targaryen as the realm fractures in season two.

Logline: Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood,” the series, set 200 years before the events of “Game of Thrones,” tells the story of House Targaryen.

Season two returning cast: Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Emma D’Arcy, Eve Best, Steve Toussaint, Fabien Frankel, Ewan Mitchell, Tom Glynn-Carney, Sonoya Mizuno, and Rhys Ifans. Additional returning cast includes Harry Collett, Bethany Antonia, Phoebe Campbell, Phia Saban, Jefferson Hall, and Matthew Needham.

Season two new cast: Abubakar Salim as Alyn of Hull, Gayle Rankin as Alys Rivers, Freddie Fox as Ser Gwayne Hightower, Simon Russell Beale as Ser Simon Strong, Clinton Liberty as Addam of Hull, Jamie Kenna as Ser Alfred Broome, Kieran Bew as Hugh, Tom Bennett as Ulf, Tom Taylor as Lord Cregan Stark, and Vincent Regan as Ser Rickard Thorne.

Season two credits: Co-Creator/Executive Producer, George R.R. Martin; Co-Creator/Showrunner/Executive Producer, Ryan Condal; Executive Producers Sara Hess, Alan Taylor, Melissa Bernstein, Kevin de la Noy, Loni Peristere, Vince Gerardis. Based on George R.R. Martin’s “Fire & Blood.”
