We have to admit we’re a little distressed to see so many Oscar nominees hitting the campaign trail harder than Killers of the Flower Moon star and Best Actress nominee Lily Gladstone. Her team needs to be way more aggressive about getting her out in front of cameras and interviewers. Anyway, she made a stylish appearance at the Academy’s Nominees’ Luncheon, following a template she’s been working all season.
A cool, stylish, modern ensemble paired with jewelry by an Indigenous artisan. Or perhaps more accurately, a killer pair of earrings with a suit chosen to match them. We wish the fit were a little but better. The pants could use a hemming and the jacket is pulling all over. But we like the creamy monochromatic take and the gold embellishments on the jacket are interesting. Like we said, it always feels like the Indigenous artisanal pieces are chosen first and then her team is tasked with finding an outfit to match them. This pairing mostly works, but the jacket does kind of get in the way of showing those amazing pieces off. They’d be better with a strapless gown.
